MEET OUR TEAM
Irwin M. Pollack leads our staff of Senior Attorneys, Associates and Paralegals who have over 50 years of combined legal experience. Attorney Pollack sets the standard and provides direction for our firm and is involved in strategy in the majority of cases.
Our firm is all about giving you confidence in your lawyer’s services. Whether you choose to keep Irwin as your attorney throughout your case, or choose to reduce your fees by working with one of our Senior Attorneys or Associates, you get the benefit and assurance of knowing that we are managing your case, advising and guiding the entire process.
Our divorce lawyers and family law attorneys think of themselves as problem solvers. Their goal is to help you solve your legal issues as effectively and efficiently as possible. Initially, we work toward agreement and settlement; after all, the spouses themselves are the experts in their own needs and those of their children. However, our good intentions are neither appropriate nor beneficial when either party to a divorce is trying to hide assets , play dirty divorce tricks , threaten or punish the other. That’s why we often litigate contested divorce matters.
Consider a contested divorce matter analogous to an emergency room at the hospital. It’s a terrifying place to be. If you should ever need it, you’re grateful that it is there. Our lawyers tell clients that, just as nobody ever looks forward to being in the emergency room, a wise client isn’t eager to be in court – placing their future in the hands of a Judge.
Make no mistake about it – if need be, our team is ready, willing and able to zealously advocate for you in the courtroom. Each divorce lawyer or family law attorney on our team is experienced and has a record of success:
- Irwin M. Pollack, Founder & Lead Attorney
- Maria Rivera-Ortiz, Senior Attorney
- Andy P. Miller, Associate
- Amy Huff, Associate Attorney
- Leila J. Wons, Associate
- Clarissa Wright, Associate Attorney
- Scott W. Niemisto, Associate Attorney
- Rita DeMilia, Director of Operations
- Cara Sotirkys, Paralegal
- Margie Tromp-Milas, Paralegal
In a matter of seconds, you’ll know why a legal professional on our team is an investment – not an expense!
Until you reach a point where emotions of divorce can subside, one of the most important things you can do is take care of yourself. Think about it this way: if you’ve ever been on an airplane, you know how the flight attendant usually starts a flight saying something like, “In the event of an emergency, an oxygen mask will drop down in front of you. If you are traveling with an infant or someone who needs assistance, place the mask around your mouth first – and then assist the person next to you.”
Think about this for a moment. The message clearly indicates how we may pass out from a lack of oxygen if we don’t take care of ourselves first. Who will be left to care for those around you? The same is true with divorce…if you exhaust yourself, what will happen to those around you? To learn more, listen to our July seminar here .
Our legal team will also point out the need to be creative and not get hung up on only one way of doing things. No matter if your divorce ends-up uncontested or contested, avoid locking yourself into absolutes when problems arise. Stay flexible and remember how sometimes plans will need to be revised or altered to accommodate a situation – especially if it relates to your children.
We are totally accessible to our clients. We welcome and encourage clients to e-mail us any time – day or night – so that we can offer a thoughtful written reply. It is very important to us to get the particular results our clients want. We work from early in the morning until late at night to do that. We never want to be involved in a situation where we were out-prepared by another attorney.
Each of the 14 counties of the Massachusetts Probate & Family Court has its own Judges, procedures and expectations. With offices in Norwood, Woburn, Worcester, Springfield and Plymouth, knowing that your lawyer has thorough knowledge of the judicial process and legal system is critical.
You may feel overwhelmed after reviewing all the information provided on each of our websites and blog. That’s okay. Divorce is a highly-specialized area of law and it may take a while for you to fully understand the divorce process .
You have taken the first step by visiting this site. Your next step is to find a lawyer who you feel comfortable with.
